Credit

I’d like to fill out a credit application before I shop. Can I do that over the internet?

Yes. First download and fill out this credit application (.pdf). Then mail your completed credit application to: Star Furniture Company, P.O. Box 219169 Houston, TX 77218-9169 or fax to: 281-579-5911. You should expect to hear from us the same day that we receive your application.

I have an open credit account that I would like to close. How should I do this?

You may close your account by calling (281) 492-5471. Before you call, please be prepared with:

- Your account number
- The name, address and phone number on the account.

If my payment is due the first of the month and I am mailing in a check, is it okay if it is postmarked by the first – or does the check have to make it to your office by the first?

Please have your payment to us on or before the due date. We will deposit your check when we receive it, regardless of its due date.

Do you have layaway plans available?

NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT AGREEMENT TO HOLD MERCHANDISE
There is a non-refundable fee that is earned when merchandise is stored in Star’s warehouse for more than 30 days and later canceled by the customer. A deposit of 25% of the purchase price is required in order to place the merchandise in storage. Maximum length of time the merchandise can be kept in storage is 120 days. If the customer for any reason cancels the order after 30 days the deposit is forfeited and may not be applied to a subsequent purchase. This fee will be waived in its entirety when the customer accepts the merchandise within the time period described herein.

This agreement may be extended for a maximum of 60 additional days with an additional non-refundable deposit of 10% of the purchase price. Any alteration in the agreement must be described and signed by Star’s management and the customer.

Pricing Policies

What is your pricing policy if I find the same product, less expensive, at another store?

Our price protection policy is as follows:
".....if you find the identical item at any other store in Texas for less than our price, within 21 days of purchase, simply bring us the ad or other verification and we will refund the difference plus 10% of that difference. Offers to special orders do not apply."

What kind of warranty comes with your furniture?

Every item Star Furniture sells is warranted against defects in material or workmanship. The warranty period is twelve (12) months from the date of purchase.

Delivery

Does Star Deliver to small outlying towns like Boerne, TX?

Yes, we will deliver to Boerne, TX.
Delivery to that area is normally scheduled for Tuesday through Saturday.

Does Star carry appliances like refrigerators and dishwashers?

While Star carries furniture for every room in your home, we do not carry appliances such as refrigerators, dishwashers, washers, dryers or TVs.

How much are your delivery charges in Houston?

Pricing for basic delivery Monday through Friday: $110.
Saturday delivery: $120.
Next Day delivery: $159
