Burl wood is marked by its distinct swirled, feathery appearance, which is a result of abnormal, knobby growths on a tree trunk. Burl designs may vary greatly, but are prized for their intriguing, elegant look. Most trees do not produce burls, so the rarity of this type of wood makes it more expensive than others. veneers. Accented by distinctive cracked walnut veneer inlays and a magnificently refined caramel finish with subtle gold tipping.
